The global village is really an electronic global village and the millenium manager has no choice but to operate in this milieu to achieve the necessary reach, speed and cost-effectiveness. At IIMI, this recognitionis matched by the commitment to have a very strong Information Technology orientation throughout the programme. Participants are provided with individual PC's in their rooms on the LAN with 24-hour Internet connectivity. This facilitates knowledge and information sharing within and outside the community. Faculty presentations and class discussions are often stored on the server building a pool of information which the participants have ready access to. The institute also has an online library with hundrees of CD-ROM's and information databases to choose from. In addition to this, IIMI has a world class, state of the art computer centre for the computiong requirements of the institute. Each classroom at IIMI is provided with a networked laptop computer and a LCD projector.

The participants thus emerge fron the programme fully familiar with a wide range of software skills and well-equipped to take on the computing and information challenges of the next century.
